The Nordic Barnhouse Project

Into the Woods

An architect´s home full af Nordic flavour

Detra is used in TheNordicBarnhouseproject  - This is here the Danish Architect Bruno Jakobsen have his Architecture and Interiør Studio.

The Detra shelving system is perfectly matched in the studio and used for material library. In this case, the material chosen is aluminum with curled aluminum shelves and a special made sloping shelf.

Villa Brink is designed as a narrow disc in the terrain, a modern interpretation of the classic long house. Built as a wooden house in Nordic materials. The colors are earth tones, black roof and facades in tight vertical planks of cedar wood, which over time become completely dull grey. All so that the house will blend in as much as possible with the surrounding nature.

In other words, a strict Nordic house with a connection to nature. The orangery will contribute so much to the overall construction at the same time as it will be the extra outdoor/indoor space which brings the project together.

The building consists of a 37m long house, a front building with carport, workshop and in between a beautiful orangery in the same architecture as the main houses.

Nature

The entire plot is preserved as natural plot. The only regular outdoor areas to come are the long wooden terrace that follows the length of the house to the south. The driveway will be made of grass, concrete and stone, so that the green experience is preserved all the way to the house and, not least, around the house.
